We've spent more than five years working with Ian Prowse. He's a Liverpool music legend, first as the front man for Pele in the 1990s and then at the helm of Amsterdam after the millennium. After thirty-odd years of recording, touring and working hard Ian has recently had great success with his Friday night lock down gigs watched by thousands.
The Christmas shows are essentially a great clan gathering and this weekend, with a thousand souls in party mood, we were there to film at the O2 Academy in Liverpool.
If you don't know Ian's music take a listen. You can hear the Irish influence in his song writing and in the instrumentation including accordions, fiddles and penny whistles. At the core of his music is unadulterated rock and roll with the influence of his hero Bruce Springsteen and a large slice of post punk politics.
